Education Programs

The Virginia Beach Audubon Society sponsors The Audubon Adventures Program a conservation newspaper published six times yearly for elementary and middle school students. Audubon Adventures is an environmental education program for children in grades 4 to 6. Developed by professional environmental educators, Audubon Adventures presents basic, scientifically accurate facts about birds, wildlife, and their habitats. Since its inception in 1984, over 7 million youngsters have participated in the program.

The Virginia Beach Audubon Society Annual Student Art Exhibit is held in April in Pembroke Mall inVirginia Beach. This exhibit features student art K-12 from the city's public schools. Ribbons, cash awards, prizes,and certificates are awarded.
